Tissue, cell and circulating biomarkers:
the challenge of single cell and small sample analysis
Aims and Topics
Today's challenge: Understanding and analysing molecular targets within a given cell type in the tissue environment or liquid biopsies- isolating the cells, extracellular vesicles (EV) or molecules - working on very small quantities of biological material.
The aim of the congress is to bring internationally renowned experts in the field together and offer an overview of the present knowledge for obtaining high quality cells, extracellular vesicles (EV) or molecules whether in plants, animals or humans. Future developments in "omics" technologies (DNA, RNA, miRNA and proteins) for genome analysis and its cellular expression will be presented, with the goal of generating valid biomarker signatures. The latest advances in high-throughput analytical methods (NGS, qPCR and digital PCR, WGA, LC-MS/MS, etc ) in combination with enrichment and isolation procedures (flow cytometry, laser capture microdissection, dielectrophoretic method) and bioinformatics analysis tools will be introduced.
